Waitangi Marae

The Waitangi Marae is located on the Waitangi Treaty Grounds near to the Treaty House.

The Marae is in a great location nestled between large trees with views out to the harbour. While not a traditional Maori marae where you are welcomed in with a ceremony, it will be the first glimse for most international travellers of the Maori meeting house. You can take off your shoes and walk inside to see what they are like.
